General Transmission
Repair is a family owned and operated business. In 1988, Mark and
I lost everything we owned due to a fire in our rented house. We
were thinking we'd just rent again, but were encouraged to buy a
house, so we did. Since it was a period of new beginnings, we decided
to start our own transmission repair company and run it out of the
garage of our new home! A $10 box of business cards and a yellow
pages ad started it all.
We spent 6 years
in Kent, then relocated the repair facility to Pacific Highway South,
where we grew steadily for another 8 years, making new friends of
our satisfied customers. One day, Mark (pictured above) saw a great
deal on some commercial real estate so we grabbed it! The new expanded
location is just off of I-5 at exit 149. We've been there for 2
years and just love facility. We have 9 lifts, and our crew runs
12 hours a day 5 days a week.
Mark and I made
a decision a long time ago, to be fair and honest with our customers
because that's just how we like to be treated. It's made all the
difference. Through ups and downs of owning a small business and
raising 3 children, we've not only kept our heads above water, we
feel we thrived here in the Pacific Northwest thanks to the generous
support of our neighbors and clients. As a repayment to our community,
we sponsor soccer teams, donate cars to worthy causes, and during
the holidays I find time to put together donation baskets of food
and other items for the needy.
We'd like to thank
you for visiting our site, and if you're a previous customer of
ours, we'd like to say 'Thanks' twice! We really appreciate
and value your business.
